The lower Liri valley

The tour offers three routes developing within the « Lower Liri Valley », a geographical area located near Cassino, above the confluence of the Liri and Gari rivers. Three paths able to evoke strong emotions, from World War II’s touching and dramatic experiences to the places of faith linked to the figures of St Thomas and St Benedict; from the archaeological remains of Aquinum and Casinum to the last economic development linked to tobacco cultivation. The tour also offers a decisive and discreetly stimulating naturalist experience amongst the mountains of Mainarde and its rural traditions and enogastronomy.
